Open-Minded Developmental Home Care accepts multiple funding sources to ensure that individuals with IDD can access the services they need.
We work with NC Medicaid, waiver programs, and private pay to make our services accessible to as many individuals and families as possible. Our team will help you navigate your coverage options.
Accepted Funding Sources
NC Medicaid
North Carolina Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible low-income individuals, including those with disabilities. Many of our services are covered under NC Medicaid for qualifying individuals.
Eligibility: NC residents who meet income and disability criteria
Managed by NC Medicaid Direct and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)
Innovations Waiver
The NC Innovations Waiver is a Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It funds a wide range of community-based supports and services.
Eligibility: Individuals with IDD who meet Medicaid eligibility and require an ICF/IID level of care
Administered through Local Management Entities / Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs)
Cap DA/C
The Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP/DA) and for Children (CAP/C) provides home and community-based services as an alternative to nursing facility or hospital care.
Eligibility: Adults and children with disabilities who meet nursing facility or hospital level of care criteria
Administered through NC DHHS and LME/MCOs
Private Pay
For individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid or waiver programs, or who prefer to pay privately, we offer flexible private pay arrangements. Contact us to discuss rates and options.
